Certified Organic STINGING NETTLE (fresh) bag
Finmaw Farm certified organic fresh stinging nettle. Popular for use in numerous recipes. Not to be eaten fresh …needs, cooking, blanching or drying. The name can be a little off putting, but if handled correctly, the greens can be a really delicious, healthy, vitamin and mineral rich ingredient in soups, pasta, pizza, pesto, blanched for use in salads or steeped to make nettle tea, tonic etc
Fresh stinging nettle can also be dried to preserve for later use. This is a great idea as it is only available seasonally.
Please Note: Do not eat fresh stinging nettle and handle it carefully (advise to use gloves) as touching the nettles can cause a stinging sensation.
Blanch, steam or dry first to remove the stinging agent then they are safe to handle and eat.
